This is a T-Shirt I picked up at Target a month or so ago. Not only does it have one of my favorite bands on it but the artwork is by Jake Parker. I've replicated myself in the same type of artwork.
I was driving in to Phoenix today and saw the perfect shot. The problem is they always look better in my head. These are not as perfectly framed as I would like because of the foreshortening that takes place between the cranes. The shots are still pretty much how I wanted them though. Thanks to my wife for helping me find a better spot to take the second one. Let me know what you think.
So the other day I got one of those really good ideas that only come to me once in a while. Why not take my girl on a date and do a photo shoot? So she got dolled up and we went downtown and I got some of my favorite shots that I've ever done of Hattie. It was an incredibly romantic date walking through bookstores and down Main St. and I'm glad we had the time together. I'm so drawn to Hattie's personality. These pictures show why.
A very nice picture of Sam. But I saw this framing technique at a friends house. I told her I could reproduce it and then thought wait how would you do that? Came out on the first try and I'm happy with the effect. I also pretty much always love desaturation. It's such a cool trick.
Another one from the short monsoon this year. We'll take what we can get. I like the hues in this b/w shot. The sky was so bright that it gives the photo great values in the b/w version.
July June May These are my top 20 favorite shots since I started the blog back in May. Looking through these I realized it's been a very productive summer.
