Tree Tendrils

A few more from the set of the tree dropping down into lower canyon creek in AZ. I also threw in one of Sam from north of the same location on Young road.

All Hail The Baby

This is a series of our new little guy. I tried to get some good lighting but still am struggling some with the focus. Think I need to read up some on portrait shots. The little guy did his job though...he sat there and was cute.

Machinery

I've always had this affection for old rusted machinery or machinery in general. I remember going on a family camp out once and finding an old carpentry plane. It sat on our family mantle for years.

Whenever I'm around rubbish piles outdoors I'm always looking for old things that have survived. It must be because old tools and machinery used to be made to survive and I miss that. It's a metaphor for life, making things that last.

Anyhow these are some interesting shots I've taken of that kind of thing. Some is old some is new but it seems to have some longevity. Hopefully the pictures do too.

Color

I've been told that fine art photography is done mostly in BW but there really is something so moving about color.

The Pink Sand Dunes in Utah and BNS station in Flagstaff AZ.

The Kids

Here are some new photos of the family. I need to learn some things about portrait work. I like landscapes a lot but need to practice some in the portrait area.

I do think these turned out nicely though.

First Post

I've started doing some serious shots and have been trying to hone my photo taking skills and thought a blog would be a good place to get some feedback.

Any feedback would be immensely appreciated especially if you have some know-how in the area.

These three are recent ones.
