This is a series of our new little guy. I tried to get some good lighting but still am struggling some with the focus. Think I need to read up some on portrait shots. The little guy did his job though...he sat there and was cute.

Aren't you having so much fun! I bet Hattie loves these pictures. They are all so cute. I love the old wood with the soft towel, really great choice. I used to struggle so much with my focus (still do to some extent - there are so many factors that go into it really). It seems so simple in theory :) --- One unsolicated tip: Many lenses can't focus closer than 2 or three feet from the subject. Sometimes I find myself trying to focus on something with no luck and then think "oh, I need to move back 6 or 12 inches" and then it will focus. I don't know what kind of camera you are using, but that is the focusing adjustment I seem to need to make most

I know. I just get mad that I have to do that because I want THAT shot. Thanks for the tip. I will have to learn to discipline myself.
