I've started doing some serious shots and have been trying to hone my photo taking skills and thought a blog would be a good place to get some feedback.Any feedback would be immensely appreciated especially if you have some know-how in the area.
These three are recent ones.
I like the top portion of the middle picture. The brightness of the bottom is distracting to my eyes. I like the bottom one also. I think it's awesome you are doing this with your work. You are truly talented.
ReplyDeleteThe top one is very good. The bottom two lack context. They start to remind me of Ansel Adams, but without some sense of surrounding, there is nothing to ground them. Even a blurred background would give them some feeling. Also, yes, that white part at the bottom of the second one pulls your eye away from the intended focus of the picture.
ReplyDeleteHmmm...I like the shades of grey from the sky behind. But I'll take that into consideration. Whatever I hear from others I try to play with and if it looks good I definitely use it. Thanks a lot for the input.
ReplyDeleteActually I kind of like the white part and saw that as a focus of the picture. I like the foreshortening of it and the depth it gives it. I did that on purpose. Guess I just see things differently and maybe that's something I need to be aware of.
